An enterprising witch, Barbara Janus, has discovered a new diet sure to be a hit with those in the New Age and the Occult. It is the Witch's Diet.

"The Witch's Diet...rid overweight clients of `psychic fat' as well as extra pounds. <169>The special regimen combines health foods like oat bran and carrot juice with `psychic cleansing rituals' that include placing raw eggs in the corners of rooms and bathing in a brew of special herbs, sea salt and baking soda," (Omni, May 1990 p. 90).

Janus also oversees another venture, Rent-A-Witch. Rent-A-Witch is a group of 17 psychics based in East Millstone, New Jersey. "Group members lecture at conventions, consult on the occult, and entertain at parties by reading fortunes and sketching past-life portraits of guests," (Ibid ).
