Since the events of September 11, 2001 terrorism has become a much discussed topic. Because those events were carried out by followers of Islam, religion has also become an important part of the discussion. Some say that such acts of terrorism are at the very core of Islamic beliefs while others say they are the act of a radical or extremist element of Islam. But what are the facts?
